In 'the hidden things belong to YHVH our God, but the revealed things to us and our children forever' — eleven dots ride over 'to us and to our children' and the first letter of 'forever.'
What it is
The largest cluster of dots in the Torah: eleven, spread across a whole phrase.
Why it matters
The verse itself divides reality into hidden and revealed — and the dots sit exactly on the 'revealed' side, as if marking the boundary of what humans may claim.
How it has been understood
The Talmud reads the dots as deferred responsibility: Israel did not become accountable for one another's hidden sins until they crossed the Jordan and became one body. The dots hover over community itself — what is ours to carry, and when it became ours.
