Every week, synagogues and home fellowships around the world read the same portion of the Torah — the parashah — completing the five books of Moshe in a yearly cycle. Each portion below includes a plain-English summary, its themes and key people, the meaning of its Hebrew name, and the full readings: Torah, Haftarah (Prophets), and B'rit Chadashah (New Testament).
