Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh — I AM WHO I AM
אֶהְיֶה אֲשֶׁר אֶהְיֶה
'I AM WHO I AM' — or 'I will be who I will be' — God naming Himself to Moses from the fire.
Jewish thought reads a promise of presence: 'I will be with them in this trouble as I will be in troubles to come.' Christian thought hears the metaphysical ground of all being — and the name Yeshua claimed in the Gospel of John's great I AM sayings.
