El Kanna — Jealous God

אֵל קַנָּא

El Kanna — pronounced ALE kan-NAH · appears ~6 times · Strong's H7067

Jealous God — 'YHVH, whose name is Jealous' — the burning exclusivity of covenant love.

Not envy but covenant fire — the jealousy of a husband for a bride, which both traditions read as the measure of how seriously God takes love. This is the verse the scribes guarded with an oversized letter so 'another god' could never be misread.
