Esh Ochlah — Consuming Fire
אֵשׁ אֹכְלָה
A consuming fire — the danger side of holiness: 'For YHVH your God is a consuming fire, El Kanna.'
Fire that consumes what cannot coexist with it — both traditions refuse to domesticate this name. Hebrews quotes it not to the wicked but to worshipers, as the reason for reverence and awe.
