Go'el — Redeemer

The Kinsman-Redeemer — the family member with the right and duty to buy back the enslaved, the lost land, the widow's future.
Redemption in Hebrew is family law before it is theology: the Go'el redeems because he is RELATED. Isaiah names God Israel's Go'el thirteen times; the book of Ruth acts the office out; Messianic faith sees Yeshua taking on flesh precisely to become the qualifying Kinsman.
