The Sevenfold Spirit of Isaiah 11
רוּחַ יְהוָה … חָכְמָה וּבִינָה
The Spirit resting on the Branch of Jesse: the Spirit of YHVH — of wisdom and understanding, counsel and might, knowledge and the fear of YHVH.
One Spirit, six named gifts, seven with the Spirit of YHVH heading them — the menorah of the inner life, which is why Revelation sees seven lamps burning before the throne. Both traditions read Isaiah 11 messianically: this is the equipment of the promised King, and the inheritance of His people.
First occurrence
Isa 11:2 — On the shoot from Jesse's stump
