יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים
The joined name of Eden — covenant Name and Creator name together.
The midrash reads the joining as mercy united with justice — the world could stand on neither alone. Christian readers see the personal covenant God and the cosmic Creator revealed as one from the garden onward.
