The number 10 in the Bible — Confidence in Yah · Ordered Completeness · Testing
עֶשֶׂר
Ten Words at Sinai, ten plagues, ten generations Adam to Noah and ten more to Abraham, ten righteous who would have spared Sodom, ten testings in the wilderness, ten as the quorum of congregation. And the tithe — a tenth returned in confidence that the whole is Yah's, the one place He says "test Me." Ten is a complete set at human scale: order under God, and the confidence that entrusts the whole by giving the tenth. Yod, the smallest letter, is the hand — a deed's whole strength in the least of strokes.
