The number 120 in the Bible — The Limit · The Waiting Community

מֵאָה וְעֶשְׂרִים

me'ah v'esrim · Greek: ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι — hekaton eikosi

'His days shall be a hundred and twenty years'; Moses died at exactly 120 with eye undimmed — whence the blessing 'may you live to 120.' One hundred twenty disciples waited in the upper room for the Spirit; one hundred twenty priests sounded trumpets when the glory filled Solomon's temple.
