Three marks moments when God acts decisively and completely — a matter established and made whole. The third-day thread runs through Scripture like gold: Isaac spared on the third day, Jonah three days in the fish, Hosea's "on the third day he will raise us up," and the resurrection of Yeshua on the third day according to the Scriptures. A threefold cord is not quickly broken; a thing done three times is, in Jewish reckoning, chazakah — established.
