The Tribe of Asher — the name, the blessing and the land
Happiness and royal dainties — bread, oil, and strength for the days

What the tribe was
Asher — the name means happy — received the rich northern coast: 'his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal dainties.' Moses adds: 'let him dip his foot in oil,' and Asher's olive groves in western Galilee did exactly that; 'as thy days, so shall thy strength be' remains one of Scripture's most beloved promises. From this quiet tribe came Anna the prophetess, who at eighty-four departed not from the temple, and greeted the infant Messiah with thanksgiving (Luke 2:36-38).
Jacob's blessing — Gen 49:20
Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal dainties.
Moses' blessing — Deut 33:24-25
And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.
Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.
