The Tribe of Naphtali — the name, the blessing and the land
A hind let loose — swiftness, eloquence, and the light of Galilee

What the tribe was
'Naphtali is a hind let loose: he giveth goodly words.' Swift and free, satisfied with favour and full of the blessing of the LORD, Naphtali possessed the fertile east of Galilee — 'the west and the south' in Moses' word. Barak of Kedesh-naphtali led the charge against Sisera. And Isaiah's prophecy over this very land — Galilee of the nations — dawned when Yeshua made Capernaum, in the borders of Zebulun and Naphtali, His own city (Matt 4:13-16): the people that walked in darkness saw a great light.
Jacob's blessing — Gen 49:21
Naphtali is a hind let loose: he giveth goodly words.
Moses' blessing — Deut 33:23
And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the Lord: possess thou the west and the south.
