Pictograph word study: reading a word letter by letter
Each Hebrew letter began as a picture: alef an ox head, bet a house, and so on. The pictograph study stacks a word's letters and shows the picture and meaning of each, so you can read the word as a small sentence. 422 key biblical words are ready to explore.

Step 1: Open the Pictograph study
Tap Tools ▾ → Pictograph word study. You see the list of key biblical words, each with its transliteration and meaning.
Step 2: Find a word
Tap a letter along the top to show only words beginning with it, or type your own word in the box. Tap ⌨ Hebrew keyboard to type Hebrew on screen.
Step 3: Study the stacked letters
Tap a word, for example אב (av, father). Its letters are stacked one above another, each with its ancient picture and meaning. Alef, the ox, is strength. Bet, the house, is the household. Read together: the strength of the house.
Step 4: Save your definition
Write your own reading of the word. Save it with Save to my account, or send it to a Word Study Sheet.
